Reflecting community values
“On a boulevard better known for pirates and palazzos, the Fashion Show was a game-changer. It brought sophisticated technology — super-sized LED screens suspended 180 feet in the air bring visual entertainment, shade and an iconic identity to potential shoppers right on the street. Just part of the reason this such a successful retail center.”
The catwalk met The Strip in Las Vegas as the design for the expansion of an aging mall took its cue from the name and content of the fashion show. The remake not only doubled the size the regional shopping center, the space and stores repositioned Fashion Show, taking its story to the Strip to capitalize on the evolving pedestrian nature of the street. The indoor areas are organized around a great hall with projecting balconies, soaring columns, and a linear runway for fashion shows with large DVD screens on the Strip. Outdoors, a high-tech suspended structure known as “The Cloud” creates a defining image, with a hi-tech audio-visual system that modifies the appearance of the center as fashion trends change.
