STIR Architecture provided the Concept Design for the commercial portions of the Kowloon Station Development located directly above the Kowloon MTR Station. The design concept and schematic design created a fluid path for customer flow. With frequent podium deck penetrations to bathe the mall with natural light, and with openings in the floor to allow light to pass through to the lower level, a customer-friendly navigational path became a natural extension of the transit journey. Grand, multi-level entry structures provide sunlit spaces for gathering, while announcing the rich retail offering to the streets surrounding the project.
